How can shared team leadership in a group create better performance? A 2014 study by psychology researcher Marcus Drescher et al. revealed that when a team shares leadership, the group’s performance can be improved. Explanation? Be- haviors of trust. The researchers believed that when shared leadership between group members was improved, the level of trust increased, and with it so did performance.
