Reduce your insecurity about other groups

Could you feel insecure about cooperating with someone who is different or who belongs to another department in the workplace? This feeling is natural if you are unaccustomed to it, but can be reduced by making contact. Your prejudices will also be likely to be lessened as well. The researchers Thomas Pettigrew and Linda R. Tropp examined what mechanisms make contact lessen prejudice. They saw that reduced insecurity about other groups was a contributing explanation.
